ABC Cable

Aluminum overhead cable is a kind of cable used for power transmission, applicable to the construction of urban and rural power grids, and its main material is aluminum and aluminum alloy, which has low density, good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, and relatively low cost. Based on this particular function, the cables are also described as service drop cables.

Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC Cable) is a very innovative concept for overhead power distribution as compared to the conventional bare conductor overhead distribution system. It provides higher level safety and reliability, lower power losses and ultimate system economy by reducing installation, maintenance and operative cost.

All conductors of the overhead bundled cable are made of aluminum 1350 and insulated with XLPE, which has the advantages of low installation cost, easy maintenance, high transmission efficiency and long service life.

The Aerial Bundled Cable has an insulated neutral wire messenger made of AAAC with an insulated aluminum-phase conductor spirally wound around it, which is mainly designed for overhead distribution lines.

ABC aerial bundled cable is suitable for transmitting line and distributing line of rated voltage 0.6/1KV and others. Excellent resistance to external agents.

Medium Voltage aerial bundled cables are mainly used for secondary overhead lines on poles,clamped to tunnel walls or as feeders for homes.

MV aerial bundled cable are suitable for aerial installation and for public power distribution networks overhead power transmission.

3-layer systems used on tree wires or spacer cables, manufactured, tested and labeled according to ICEA S-121-733 (standard for tree wires and satchel support spacer cables). The 3-layer system consists of a conductor shield layer (layer #1) and 2 covering layers (layer #2 and layer #3).

Just like MV ABC cable, this sort of cable is used for secondary overhead lines on poles, clamped to turnnel walls or as feeders to residential premises.
